NicotineMeet Nicotine, our latest Voltgirl alternative modeling feature - a "hedonist, libertine, nerd!" Check out the great pics and interview here.
Hello! Welcome to Voltcase, how are things!? Things are going really well. I just produced my first fetish event Capitol Punishment in October in Washington, DC. Right now, I'm on a three-week tour of Toronto, New York City, and Detroit, shooting and attending various fetish events. I just shot for my fifth book "How to Be Kinkier" by Lord Morpheous in Toronto. So, how would you describe yourself to a stranger in just three words?
Hedonist, libertine, nerd.
Loud rock 'n' roll plays a big part in our lives here at Voltcase, are you a big music fan? Any bands or artists you might want to namedrop for us, or any unknown acts that you think we should check out?
I love music. I have a huge crush on Spider from Powerman 5000 and I listen to Buckcherry's self-titled album all the time. I go through phases every now and then when I only listen to Cinderella, Def Leppard, Poison, and Kiss. Other than that, I listen to a lot of EBM, Goth, and industrial. Now, on to the modelling – how did it all start for you? Was it something you always wanted to do, or did it just 'happen'?
I was a loser in high school (think Daria with braces) and I had really bad self-esteem, so I never really saw modeling as an option. My best friend in college introduced me to Craigslist and we started advertising sexy photos in exchange for stockings and lingerie. It all started out as a way to get guys to send us presents. Then, it became a hobby and one thing led to another and now it's all I do.
Do you have any personal guidelines on what you will or won't do for the sake of a good photo, or is it pretty much anything goes? And if you do have any guidelines, have you ever been in a situation where you've had to enforce them?
I almost never do spreads the first time I work with someone. I also don't work with fur or dead animals, although I once posed with a raw octopus. I rarely have to enforce anything like that, though.
For a lot of models, acting and modelling seem to go hand in hand. Have you ever done any acting, or do you have any aspirations to go into it?
I did a horror movie a couple years ago called "The Man in the Garage". I was the babysitter that got her leg chopped off and was then stabbed in the back five times with a pickaxe. I've also done a few small videos for fetish websites and had a part in Voltaire's first music video. I think acting experience is definitely good to have, as a model, because it really teaches you how to portray thoughts and emotions better on camera.
We're all a bunch of geeks at heart here at Voltcase, are you particularly geekie about anything in particular yourself – the embarrassing the better!?
I am such a nerd. I'm really into anime and Star Wars and Robot Chicken. I met Seth Green at a comic book convention in LA in March and went completely fangirl on him. I also got Lori Petty to sign a photo of Tank Girl for me while I was there. If you were interviewing yourself, what question would you ask yourself? And what would the answer be?
I would probably ask what my long-term goals are. I have a whole list of magazine covers I want to do, designers I'd love to shoot for, etc. Someday, I really want to have a feature artice/cover in Bizarre Magazine and Marquis and start doing my own line of fetish videos. I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen. So, what big plans, if any, have you got the rest of the year? Anything exciting going on?
I'm going back to LA in December with my model friend Anna Evans. I'm shooting for BlueBlood again and Ken Marcus and I are going to try to shoot a cover for DDI Magazine. I'll also be getting ready to produce the next Capitol Punishment party, so that will be taking up a lot of my time, as well.
And finally, the question that we ask everyone that appears in Voltcase - what does the word 'Voltcase' mean?
According to the dictionary, a case can be an instance of occurrance or injury, so I'm guessing it's probably an instance of being struck by lightning, like the Voltcase logo. |
